SAP Business Objects Data Services Developer (ETL With Python Skills)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAP Business Objects Data Services Developer with strong expertise in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and proficiency in Python. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the development and operational support of data integration solutions, ensuring the smooth flow of data within our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using SAP Business Objects Data Services.

• Create and maintain data mappings, transformations, and workflows to facilitate efficient data movement.

• Leverage Python programming skills to enhance and customize ETL processes as needed.

• Collaborate with the development team to integrate Python scripts into the data processing pipeline.

• Provide operational support for existing ETL processes, monitoring and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

• Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies to ensure efficient data processing.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data architects, database administrators, and business analysts, to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.

• Collaborate with end-users to gather feedback and make continuous improvements to data integration processes.

• Create and maintain documentation for ETL processes, data mappings, and system configurations.

• Ensure that all development activities adhere to best practices and organizational standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Proven experience in SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS) development.

• Strong proficiency in Python programming for ETL enhancements and customization.

• Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration concepts.

• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of SAP HANA or other database technologies.

• Familiarity with data quality and data governance principles.

• Experience in working with large-scale data sets and complex data structures.
