Job Description

IT DATA ENGINEER
The role of the IT Data Engineer will be to integrate data from a variety of internal and external sources into a warehouse data model to support data and analytics activities across business functions. The IT Data Engineer will also be responsible for developing business intelligence solutions through analytical reporting using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.


You should be open to new and different ways to accomplish your work and be comfortable with new processes, initiatives, and changes in priorities. This role requires collaboration with multiple teams, so you should be able to convey facts and information clearly, verbally and in writing, and be comfortable sharing your ideas and proactively contributing to group objectives.


Responsibilities
· Develop ETL data pipelines in Azure Data Factory using industry best practices
· Develop a data lake, data warehouse in Azure cloud environment using Microsoft Fabric
· Develop dashboards, reports, or downstream data feeds from existing applications
· Utilize Power BI to deliver high quality BI solutions in an Azure data warehouse environment
· Work closely with Power BI report users to tune and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards
· Implement and support integrations between SAP and several enterprise applications and processes
· Create and manage data models, data flow diagrams, data mappings, and data dictionaries
· Work in a team environment with other departments to develop reports, KPIs and dashboards
· Interpret business requirements to identify proper tools and methods to analyze, identify and report data
trends and variances
· Design and development of API interfaces with cloud applications and third-party software suites
· Identify and reconcile data quality and inconsistency issues
· Assist with the design and management of the technology stack used for data storage and processing
· Stay current with latest cloud technologies, patterns, and methodologies

 

Qualifications


Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent experience
· 5+ years of recent experience in ETL and data warehouse development or maintenance
· 5+ years of experience in KPI, reports and dashboard development
· 3+ years with Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and continuous integration and delivery


Skills and Abilities
· Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Power BI, Azure Cloud, Microsoft Fabric, ETL, T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server
(SSAS/SSIS/SSRS), Database Administration Principles, and Excel
· Experience with SAP
· Ability to write, analyze and debug SQL queries
· Ability to develop dashboards and data models
· Familiar with DAX and Power Pivot
· Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate
· Experience in agile software development environment
· Proficiency in R and Python preferred
· Strong communication skills
