Project Overview: We recently switched to NetSuite and we need someone that knows best practices in using NetSuite to apply customer payments, create credit memos on customer accounts, pull customer statements, and pulling reports about revenue, class, department, and location.
Role Overview: We're looking for a revenue staff accountant that can help us in all things related to revenue. That includes everything from updating customer contact information, to applying customer payments, to identifying past due accounts and then reporting on customer account balances.
Responsibilities:
- Daily: Review payments received during our day, apply customer payments to customer invoices within 1 business day, and report back to the team all payments that couldn't be matched to an invoice. Answer assigned customer requests for copies of invoices or invoice statements.
- Weekly: Prepare a report showing changes in customer account balances and send reminders as assigned.
- Monthly: Ensure all payments have been applied within 3 business days of month end. Prepare a report showing changes in customer account balances.
Primary Skills: 3+ years on Netsuite, customer invoicing, customer payment application, and NetSuite Reports
Nice To Have: 1+ years in Salesforce Service Cloud (this is our customer ticketing system) and experience going through a NetSuite migration.
We have a really great team here. We've got team member that are really experiences in accounts receivable, team members that are really experienced in accounts payable, and team members experienced in financial analysis. Our accounts payable team has experience in NetSuite (Jessah Mae from CoDev), but we recognize that we're missing some NetSuite experience on the Accounts Receivable team. For now, we're leveraging the NetSuite experience on the AP side to help the AR side, but that's not sustainable. If we could add just one more NetSuite master it would go a long way towards helping the rest of the team have the capacity needed to do their own jobs.
